Sam Lees

Sam joined Brehon in 2009 as a part time accounts administrator and is already a valued and respected member of the team.

Sam was born in Guernsey and went to the Grammar School for Girls and then the Polytechnic of Wales where she gained a BTEC Higher National Diploma in Business and Finance.

Before the arrival of her children, Sam travelled extensively and spent 3 years working abroad, mainly in Australia in the publishing industry.

On her return to Guernsey Sam fulfilled various long term temping contracts before joining Rothschild Asset Management (C.I.) Ltd as a Fund Administrator. During this time she sat and passed the Securities Institute, Unit Trust Administration Certificate.

At the same time Sam started an Open University course which she studied for in the evenings and in 2000 she was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc).

After a break to have her children Sam was offered a job as a part-time bookkeeper and in August 2005 she became a member of ACCA and was awarded an exemption from the first section of the ACCA exams.

Since then Sam has passed the F5 Performance Management paper.

All of Sams hobbies revolve around water. She joins the adult group of swimmers at Beau Sejour once a week and helps out with the reception class swimming lessons at St.Martins Primary School. Quite often at the weekend either my husband or I can be found rigging an Optimist with our son as he is a keen sailor with the Guernsey Yacht Club Youth Section.

Sam has two children, a son who has just started secondary school and a daughter who is in Year 1.
